Monica Crosby, LMSW
Hello, my name is Monica Crosby, and I am a therapist with a passion for working with teens and families as they navigate whatever twists and turns their life may have taken. The only constant in life is change, and with my experience of having worked with persons from all walks of life I have both the ability and desire to provide services to you in this time of need. Whether you're struggling with relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, personal identity concerns, autism, psychosis or any other given mental health needs, I am here to help you through this difficult stage of your life. I hope that by working together, you will gain the improved awareness of your environment, self, and life path, through clarified understanding, and acceptance needed to empower you to rise above and move past, whatever you feel is hindering you from achieving the best version of yourself possible.
I like to use a variety of techniques dependent on each individual and may employ cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, social skills training, or psychotherapy based on your needs. I feel mindfulness is also an important aspect of being the best versions of yourself and will incorporate this as well.
I have a wide variety of experience from being a case manager engaging foster families within the trauma-informed fostering system, to being a developmental therapist for children ages birth to three with disabilities. I have worked in community clinic settings with teens and am also in the process of obtaining my independent clinical licensure to become an LCSW. My experiences in my own life led me to realize at a young age that I was meant to be a social worker even before I had the words for it! I am driven toward social justice and devoted to providing you with the undivided attention you deserve within a safe, and respectful environment with every session. When you're ready for change, make the call that will allow you to nourish what makes you flourish!
