Mary Reas-Oden, LMSW

I help people lighten their loads of grief, anxiety, and depression through compassionate, judgment-free support. I view treatment as a collaborative work, so rest assured that our work together will always be based on your personal goals, strengths, and preferences. To help you determine if we're a good therapeutic match, here's a little bit about my primary approaches:

Overarching foundations in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) & ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy): I help clients practice self-acceptance and experience growth. One of the best ways to do this is by exploring the connection between your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and core beliefs. Your story is worth exploring.

Nature & "Walk-and-Talk" Options: I gently guide clients through grounding & mindfulness techniques, based in nature and the outdoors. If appropriate, I offer clients the option of meeting at a local park to "walk-and-talk" (or simply sit) using the backdrop of nature to reinforce themes of safety, openness, & honesty in processing pain. Research shows that incorporating movement and nature into treatment can have a strong impact on some people's treatment goals. If you think that might be true for you, please feel free to reach out!

As a matter of fact, if any of this resonates with you, or if you have questions about treatment, I'd love to hear from you. Please use the contact form to send me a message, or call the office today to set up a free consultation call.

More than anything, I want you to know that you matter so very much! Your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, experiences, ideas - all of you matters! So whether it's with me or someone else, please make time to explore your inner world, so that you can live a life that is healed, whole, & happy.
