Mamie Williams, LPC
My experience and expertise will allow me to be an asset to your healing journey. I am Mamie Williams, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received a Master of Science in counseling from Grand Canyon University and have been working extensively to bring hope, healing and therapy to those in need. Since graduating from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, my career began working with women negatively impacted by substance abuse.
My experience spans from a variety of settings which includes work in an acute behavioral hospital, outpatient care, residential intensive day treatment to group and family therapy. In addition, I have served children, adolescents and families in foster care, survivors of trauma, neglect, physical, emotional and sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, self-esteem, grief/loss and behavior modifications. I am also passionate about improving the lives of couples experiencing relationship issues through ongoing therapy (add type of therapy used).
My belief is that counseling is more impactful when it is personalized. There is no “one-size fits all” therapy. My goal is to use a collaborative approach to meet the client(s) where they are and help direct them to a more purposeful journey in life.
I will tailor the counseling experience to meet the specific needs and unique personality. I believe every individual was created to be happy and fulfilled. Learning the right skills and a more realistic way of thinking can be the difference between staying stuck or moving forward.
I understand that life’s journey can cause us to suffer various setbacks in which we find ourselves unable to navigate in a healthy and purposeful way. I believe all of our experiences play a major role in influencing and even shaping who we are, however, it does not have to Define us.
The goal is that you will trust me to walk alongside you as you begin to take back control of your life and live it in a way that Empowers you to become the best you Ever.
