John M. Collins Jr., LMSW, is a licensed mental health therapist, educator, behavioral specialist, and proud U.S. Army Veteran with more than 25 years of experience serving children, adolescents, families, veterans, and school communities. His diverse career spans military service, education, school leadership, behavioral intervention, and clinical mental health, providing him with a unique perspective on the emotional, behavioral, and environmental factors that influence overall well-being and long-term success. 

John currently serves as both a Mental Health Therapist and District Behavior Coordinator, where he specializes in evidence-based therapeutic interventions, trauma-informed care, behavior support, crisis intervention, and social-emotional development. He has extensive experience helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, emotional regulation challenges, and life transitions. His military background also provides him with valuable insight into the unique experiences and challenges faced by veterans, service members, and their families. 

Known for his calm, compassionate, and collaborative approach, John creates a supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. He believes that every individual possesses the strength and resilience to overcome life's challenges when provided with the right support, practical tools, and encouragement. His therapeutic style blends evidence-based practices with solution-focused strategies that help clients build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. 

John works collaboratively with clients, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans that promote healing, resilience, and personal growth. In addition to providing counseling services, he is passionate about coaching, behavioral consultation, and professional development, equipping individuals, families, schools, and organizations with the skills needed to foster emotional wellness, healthy relationships, and lifelong success.
