Taylor Covington, LMSW
My name is Taylor Covington, LMSW. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker; born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Texas Christian University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.
My experience includes providing crisis intervention to adolescents and adults with mental health, homelessness, & substance abuse needs within inpatient and outpatient treatment settings; working with children and families involved with child protective services; and providing resources & support for individuals & families with behavioral health needs and barriers. I am a passionate, natural-born cheerleader with a bubbly and optimistic approach to therapy… so, you may dance in a session with me : ) My approach to therapy includes treatment models such as Solution-focused short-term therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative & Art Therapy, and Strengths Perspective. I also specialize in case management and group therapy with at-risk youth to help overcome daily obstacles, address educational issues, and improve social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
My main priority is to meet your needs wholeheartedly, to listen when no one else is listening, and to offer hope when it seems as if everyone else has given up. I look forward to supporting you on your journey to reach your goals
